This red sangria is my favorite, and I tend to make this recipe for holiday parties. The addition of fruit and berries in the sangria always makes the drink a bit more festive. Serve with additional sliced fruit and ice. The wine and fruit can be varied based upon your preference.
3 Bottles (750 ml) Red Wine (Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon)
6 Cups Sunny Delight Drink Mix (Tangy Original Orange)
1 Cup Cointreau
1 Cup Blackberry Brandy
1 Cup Triple Sec
Sliced Oranges and Apples for Mixture
Additional Sliced Fruit/Berries for Garnish
Cinnamon Sticks (Optional)
Mix ingredients together and add sliced fruit. Stir to combine. Sangria is best served after flavors have been combined for several hours. I serve at room temperature and fill each glass with ice and sliced fruit/berries for garnish. Serve with cinnamon stick for extra flavor if desired.
